Castello De Nobili della Bagliva is located in the marina La Petrizia di Sellia. Work of architect Andreotti, designed and built towards the end of the 18th century, commissioned by Don Emanuele de Nobili and Donna Olimpia Schipani. The structure has linguistic-formal elements typical of "fortified" architecture. Given the beauty of the work, the De Nobili themselves asked the architect to repeat himself with a building with the same formal language, the current seat of the Catanzaro City Council. The villa was inhabited until 1972 by the descendants of the de Nobili della Bagliva family.
Located on a small height above sea level and from a small distance from it, you could enjoy the fresh air, smelling of pines, oaks, olive trees and mimosas. The mild climate and easy access to the sea prompted the De Nobili family to build the villa here for their summer vacations.
