The artwork shows the modern architecture of the 3XN building on Washingtonplatz in Berlin. The striking glass façade with its angled lines and reflective surfaces, which mirror the sky, clouds and parts of the surroundings, takes centre stage. A building with the DB logo can be recognised in the background, which locates the site in the immediate vicinity of Berlin's main railway station. The foreground is framed by a paved square and some trees, which add a natural component to the image.
The inspiration for this work was the interaction between architecture, public space and light. I was particularly interested in how the clear, geometric design language of the building combines with the soft structures of the surroundings - and how reflections create new perspectives on familiar places.
The aim was to create a calm, structured atmosphere that invites you to take a closer look. The image conveys a feeling of openness and urban clarity without tipping over into the monumental.
In interior design, this work acts as a modern, architectural accent. It is particularly suitable for minimalist or design-orientated spaces and brings a visual connection of city, structure and light into living or working areas - functional, precise and versatile in combination.
