About Michael Valjak
Photography has been a part of my life for many years and, for me, it is above all a quest for that special moment. I am fascinated by the moment when a beautiful place becomes an extraordinary subject. Often, it is just a matter of a few minutes in which the light, weather, colours and perspective come together perfectly. It is precisely these special moments that I seek to capture with my camera.
On my travels, I’m always on the lookout for special landscapes, coastlines, mountains, cities and places that tell a story. For me, it’s not simply about capturing a place. I want to bring its unique atmosphere to life and create images that still convey something of that moment even when viewed later.
My visual style combines bold, natural colours with clear compositions and an authentic atmosphere. Many of my photographs are the result of patience and careful planning – searching for the right vantage point, the right light and that precise moment when everything comes together.
