About ‘appingedam suspended kitchens’ by Antje Verleg-Dijk
In Appingedam, curious structures hang from a number of historical buildings in the city centre. These buildings once served as warehouses, but were later converted into residential houses. In the residential house, there was little room for a kitchen, so the kitchens were built hanging over the Damsterdiep.
