This is a watchful cormorant with a beautiful plumage. It was standing at the water's edge drying its wings. They do this after hunting underwater. Cormorants do not have water-repellent feathers, so they have to let them dry in the air with their wings wide. Then they look just like flashers. It was vigilant, saw me too early, closed its wings and kept an eye on me. It did result in this photo. Cormorants have brown wings with metallic blue undertones and edges. And they have bright green eyes. Really bright green eyes.
