The thick lines of raising the anchors. The traces of the anchor chain . The mooring lines where the ship is moored with. And the calibration mark straight down. The curves of the hull of the bow. Actually only the calibration mark is a straight line between all the rounded lines.
Surely the cargo ships have graceful lines that are not immediately noticeable. I wanted to capture this in the photo. It still reflects the raw environment of the harbor.
I often visit the harbors and my gaze is often drawn to the bow. And the hulls of the ships. The whole ship is always worth a photo but certainly just the bow is a work of art.
Raw and the port as it is the people who work there. The images I see there I like to photograph because it is art in itself. The harbor is a different world. The landscape of the harbor is always changing. The ships, the people and the landscape continue to fascinate me.
