On a beautiful misty spring morning I was able to photograph this tree. I had photographed many times before, but with an entirely different composition (which is explained in the book Woodscapes). I approached this tree from a different angle and all of a sudden I saw this elegant swordfighter, a mossy tree with a silvery grey spear and a mossy arm on the side. He looked as if he was stepping out with pure elegance.
