The Rijksmunt in Utrecht, with the water of the canal in the foreground, and the Abel Tasman Bridge leading across the Leidse Rijn to Lombok on the left. The Rijksmunt building dates from 1910 and was designed by government architect C.H. Peters. The Mint is a national monument in the neo-Renaissance style and features, among other things, symbolism related to money in its facades. The newly constructed Mint Bridge can be seen on the right. This photo was taken September 17, 2017 and, for historical reasons, was taken in black and white. This photo belongs to the Modern History series.
