This is a photo I took in the early morning on the mud flats. In the morning when I woke up, I saw that it was extremely foggy. I was in doubt whether to go ahead with my plan to go to the mud flats. Now I was awake anyway and I set off. The location I wanted to go to is about a km on the mud flats.
In the dark and fog, I walked across the salt marshes and on the harder stretches of mudflats to get here. The sun came up and poked through the fog like a light. Wonderful - this photo won me first prize in Roots' annual photo competition (Grasduinen).
I think work can be a gem in many an interior. Whether in a residential home or in an office environment. It an honour-catcher, yet also very soothing.
