A galloway is a species of cattle without horns. The cattle are mostly black-furred cattle native to south-west Scotland.
Galloways are often used in nature reserves as large grazers, as they require little care and are not aggressive. So is this specimen walking around in a herd at Buytenpark in Zoetermeer.
The breed is often used to produce high-quality steaks, such as sirloin steak and ribeye, which have a characteristic marbling of fat and lean meat.
