About ‘Optical illusion café wall’ by Mike Maes
This café wall illusion wer noted by Steve Simpson who had noticed this effect on the walls of a café in Bristol, and the illusion was described by his colleague Richard Gregory in 1973. The horizontal parallel lines appear to be slanted, as the dark areas are each slightly offset from the layer below and above.
