Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘King of the Alps | Capricorn’ by Laura Dijkslag

While travelling through Switzerland, I came across this impressive ibex, an unforgettable moment. Although he seemed dangerously close, I was at a safe distance thanks to my telephoto lens. Its majestic appearance and imposing horns immediately reminded me of the king of the savannah, which inspired me to call this work 'King of the Alps'.

This picture captures the essence of strength and tranquillity in one image. It shows a majestic ibex, symbol of the rugged and untamed Alps. With its imposing horns full of deep furrows and an intense, piercing gaze, this animal exudes sheer dominance and self-assurance. Its brown-grey fur contrasts beautifully with the soft, out-of-focus background, making it stand out and immediately attract attention. The light accentuates the texture of his fur and the details of his horns, giving the photo an almost painterly feel.
