The IJzeren Kaap near Oosterend on Texel is a striking beacon that has been part of the island since the 19th century. In black and white, this historic structure takes on an even more powerful appearance: the metal structure stands out sharply against the sky, as if time and technology merge here in simplicity and monumentality.
A special contrast is created when the sun rises. The first light of the day slowly creeps over the horizon and casts long shadows over the landscape.
