About the artwork
"Holiday feeling: Splashing waves on breakwaters in Zeeland" is a photo I took on the beach at Cadzand in Zeeland (Netherlands). The sun was shining on the white bursting waves. This looked so beautiful and impressive.
You can still see the breakwaters well in the picture on the left, but they soon disappear under the waves. On the right-hand side, you mainly see the bursting wave!
If you zoom in on the photo, you can clearly see the level of detail in it. Because of the chosen shutter speed, the waves are as it were frozen in the photo so you can even see sharp splashes.
The depth of field in this photo is not very large, which ensures that the splashing wave attracts attention. (The focus is on the splashing wave on the poles).
This picture gives me a feeling of holiday, nature and tranquillity and could hang beautifully, for example, in a holiday home, waiting room, sleeping room or as wallpaper in the Living room!
