About ‘Henri Matisse inspired "colour dance"’ by Niklas Maximilian
Matisse knew how to add an extra dimension to his paintings through the use of patterns and organic textures. This play with visual structures inspires me to experiment with textures in my own work - be it through collage, mixed media or targeted brushstrokes - to add rhythm and depth to my compositions.
