Surrounded by a stone arch and bathed in soft daylight, this Buddha looks out into the world with a calm, timeless gaze. The symmetry of the circular opening in which the statue rests enhances the sense of harmony and completion - as if the circle itself symbolises the cycle of life and consciousness.
The stone surface bears traces of time and weathering, emphasising the power of impermanence. Yet the Buddha radiates undisturbed calm: a silent sentinel between nature and architecture, as earthy as it is elevated. The contrast between the rough wall and the soft lines of the face creates a poetic balance.
This sculpture invites contemplation and is a reminder that wisdom can often be found in silence and simplicity.
