The Geul Valley is a valley in the Belgian German-speaking Community, the Belgian province of Liège and the Dutch province of Limburg. The valley forms the catchment area of the Geul River and its tributaries. The area is characterized by large differences in height.
The photo shows a panorama from Epen towards the Drielandenpunt at Vaals. This is where the borders between the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany meet. The point is located near the top of the Vaalserberg (the Vaalserberg can be seen on the left in the photo) on the border of the municipalities of Vaals (Dutch Limburg), Blieberg and Kelmis (both in the Belgian province of Liège) and Aachen (in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia).
I come here regularly to enjoy this panoramic hilly country from the terrace of Restaurant De Gerardushoeve. Mighty fine!
