The Amsterdam Water Supply Dunes is a dune area between Zandvoort and the Langevelderslag in the municipality of Noordwijk. The dune area is designed for the extraction of drinking water for the city of Amsterdam; every year, fifty million cubic metres of drinking water flow through this 3400-hectare area.
