About ‘Covao dos Conchos’ by Antwan Janssen

Portugal is a combination of beautiful nature and picturesque villages. If you like walking then the natural park Serra da Estrela is for you. We ourselves have made a walk to Covão dos Conchos. Here you can see a bizarre hole in the lake of Serra da Estrela, which is actually a tunnel. It is built of concrete and granite and leads the water from the Ribeira das Naves to the lake Lagoa Comprida. So the hole you see in the photo is the beginning of the tunnel which is more than 1500 meters long.
