About ‘Calvi silhouette’ by Caroline Boogaard

This photo was taken on a beautiful day in August, in the early morning on the way to the old town of Calvi. On the left in the picture you can see the Cathedral of Calvi, in the citadel. On the right, the pointed tower of the Église Sainte Marie Majeure rises above the lower part of Calvi.

The places where I collect the ingredients for the photographic work are places that at first don't look very attractive. That's what makes it so much fun for me - looking closely at 'hidden beauty' that sometimes only comes to the fore when the images are mixed.
