The PH-BFB is a Boeing 747-400 delivered in 1989 by Boeing to KLM, which christened her City of Bangkok. Since 2019, the aircraft has been on display in Corendon colours on the outside grounds of the Corendon Village Hotel in Badhoevedorp.
The BFB was delivered to KLM on 20 June 1989. A month earlier, KLM received its first Boeing 747-400, the PH-BFA. The BFB was the second 747-400 for KLM. KLM already had the Boeing 747-200 and -300 in service at that time. The 747-400 was a more modern and fuel-efficient type. Upon delivery, the aircraft was ceremoniously christened City of Bangkok, after the destination of KLM's very first flight with it. An official plaque from the City of Bangkok recalled this. This plaque hung in the aircraft near the stairs to the upper deck. Upon returning from this first flight, Buddhist monks held a prayer service in front of the plane.
