The waters around Sal (Cape Verde) are home to caretta caretta turtles. But to grow into adult turtles; that is quite a challenge. And so there is an organization in Santa Maria that is committed to the turtles. They transport the eggs, let them hatch under supervision and accompany the young ones to the sea in the early morning.
