About the artwork

This abandoned room is a silent narrative about transience and the decay of time. The central element of the picture is a simple wooden bed, the headboard of which is still stable, while the mattress is marked by dust, debris and traces of decay. A faded pink cushion lies on the mattress, evoking faint memories of past inhabitants. Particularly striking is an old tube television that has fallen through the ceiling from the upper floor. It now lies on the rubble of the broken ceiling, surrounded by remnants of wood and plaster. The window, intact, allows soft light to stream into the room, bathing the scene in a nostalgic glow. A torn curtain hangs limply from the window and moves slightly in the wind. The walls, with their faded and cracked wallpaper, and the generally neglected furnishings create an atmosphere of melancholy and decay - a perfect setting for urban explorers and photographers.
