In the splendour of the Dharma

In the glow of the setting sun, the main pagoda of Wat Phra That Sorn Kaew is transformed into a shining symbol of awakening. Millions of mosaic stones reflect the light like countless prayers rising to the heavens. Each individual stone is more than just decoration – it is part of a greater whole, an expression of the devotion and faith that permeates this place.
The golden dome shines like a symbol of the path to enlightenment, leading people beyond the shadows of everyday life. The spirals and circles of the patterns are reminiscent of the wheel of Dharma, the eternal cycle of becoming and passing away that Buddha understood. In the silence of the evening, the pagoda itself seems to meditate, filled with a deep, timeless presence.
Those who linger here feel the boundaries between matter and spirit blur. The building becomes a mirror of the inner journey: from the diversity of colours to the unity of light, from outer beauty to inner clarity. Thus, the pagoda rises not only from stone and glass, but from the longing for liberation – a radiant gateway to the infinite.
