In the mirror of nature: Morning at Lake Hopfensee

In the early morning, Lake Hopfensee lies still and clear before me. The first light of the sun bathes the western shore in a warm golden colour. The farms, scattered on gentle green hills, appear particularly lively, as if the landscape itself were awakening. Above the dark forests and the striking peaks of the Allgäu Alps, the last storm clouds slowly drift away. They lend the scene a dramatic depth and a touch of transience.
The water reflects the sky almost perfectly - only slight movements distort the image and blur the transitions between sky and earth. The air is fresh, still cool from the night, but the coming day is already heralding itself in mild tones. There is a special stillness, as if nature itself wants to capture the moment.
This panorama of Lake Hopfensee in the Ostallgäu shows the impressive interplay of light, weather and landscape - a scene full of tranquillity and power, captured in a brief, unique moment.
