High-Alpine summer colours on the Fellhorn

Amidst the gentle undulations of the mountain meadows on the Fellhorn, the yellow stars of the Alpine buttercup and the Alpine dandelion bloom, as if to offer the sky a soft, warm glow in return. Their blossoms stand in the wind like tiny flames, piercing the green of the meadows and heralding summer at high altitude. Up here, every blade of grass, every flower seems to carry its own quiet song – a song of resilience, of clarity, of the delicate beauty that can only emerge in the thin air of the Alps.
Behind this carpet of light rises the main ridge of the Allgäu: the sharply defined Trettachspitze, the proud Mädelegabel, the darker Bockkarkopf and the mighty Hochfrottspitze. Their forms appear like ancient guardians watching over the valley and the meadows, shaped over millennia by snow, wind and time.
In this photograph, two worlds meet – the delicate, fleeting flowers and the immovable giants of rock. Together, they speak of the quiet harmony of the Allgäu Alps, of a place where the small and the great do not contradict one another, but rather bring out the best in each other.
