Autumn light over the Höfats

A warm autumnal breeze hangs over the Laufbacher-Eckweg, and the world unfolds into a panorama that seems like a quiet poem of colour, light and memory. The Höfats, that headstrong queen of grass and rock, stands bathed in the golden glow of the season, as if summer had left behind one last, tender farewell. Her steep flanks glisten in the gentle sunlight, whilst the shadows of the afternoon slopes glide over them like soft brushstrokes.
The grass in the foreground glows in warm hues, a shimmering sea of gold that sways in the wind like a gentle melody. Behind it, the Allgäu Alps rise, layer upon layer, each a little paler, a little more distant, until they fade into the distant haze. The peaks seem like thoughts slowly dissolving into the sky.
A quiet clarity hangs over everything, a sense of transition: summer is bidding farewell, winter is still waiting, and autumn holds time still for a moment. A panorama that reveals not only the landscape, but also the quiet melancholy of a day drawing to a close – and which becomes more beautiful the longer you look at it.
