The Breath of the Naga in the Light

Above the mountains of Khao Kho, where the light falls more clearly and silence lies like a thin veil over the slopes, the golden Naga rises from the temple grounds like a breath from another time. Its head, criss-crossed with lines of flame, appears to be formed not of metal but of condensed energy, as though the mountains themselves had brought forth a guardian of light and memory.
Its red eyes watch vigilantly over the path trodden by pilgrims and travellers, and in their glow lies a knowledge older than the temple walls. The gaping maw does not appear threatening, but rather like a gateway that devours the darkness before it can touch the sacred space.
In the sunlight, the gold comes to life, shattering into a thousand fragments that dance across the mosaics and fill the air with a soft glow. Here, the Naga is not merely a symbol, but a transition: from the heaviness of the world to the lightness of the spirit, from the dust of the path to the clarity of the inner gaze.
And so he stands there — a silent guardian, a spark of eternity, a golden breath at the heart of the temple.
