About ‘San Cristobal, Tenerife’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

In the first gentle rays of spring light, nature awakens to new life and a panorama unfolds as if born of a dream. From the Mirador de Jardina, the view extends gently down to San Cristobal de La Laguna, where the houses nestle against the slopes in pastel colours, as if they were melting into the landscape. The air is filled with a hint of blossom, while the birds sing their morning song and greet the day.
But the view extends far beyond the valleys and villages, all the way to the majestic Pico del Teide, which towers over the island of Tenerife like a gentle guardian. Its peaks are crowned by a delicate blanket of snow, which turns golden in the light of the rising sun. At a height of 3,718 metres, it rises majestically into the azure blue sky, as if to blur the boundaries between earth and sky.
The Canary Islands, a jewel in the heart of the Atlantic, reveal themselves in all their splendour and diversity. The rolling hills, lush forests and rugged cliffs form a backdrop of breathtaking beauty that touches the soul and inspires the spirit. It is a moment of harmony and peace, captured in a photograph that celebrates the infinite abundance and beauty of nature.
