The ascent to Alto de Guajara in Teide National Park unfolds in a breathtaking, tranquil setting that only nature itself can create. In front of you lies the huge, jagged lava field, which stretches in bizarre formations to the horizon. It is still completely in the shade, making it seem mysterious and almost unreal - a landscape that appears to be from another world. The cool morning air, typical of a clear November morning in the Canary Islands, bites lightly into the skin and wakes you up as dusk slowly gives way to the first rays of sunshine.
The majestic Pico del Teide rises above the lava field, and it is precisely at this moment that the rising sun breaks over the horizon and bathes the summit in an intense, reddish light. The colours of the sky - from pale pink and orange to deep purple - are reflected on the volcanic rock and make the mountain glow. The contrast between the warm colours at the summit and the cool, dark shadows in the valley below lends the scene an incomparable magic.
In the stillness of the early morning, this moment feels like a gift from nature. You witness a spectacle that seems almost timeless in its beauty and stand still in amazement to absorb this fleeting moment.
