On the longest wooden bridge of peace

The light of an early morning lies over the old wooden planks of the Sanglaburi Bridge like a silent prayer. The air seems to hover between water and sky as six young nuns make their way slowly – barefoot, smiling, almost silently. Their pink robes glow softly in the sunlight, and the red parasols look like little rising suns above their shaved heads.
The river beside them carries the tranquillity of the moment further, out towards the green hills and the scattered houses on the banks. No haste, no noise disturbs this scene. Only the rhythmic creaking of the old bridge accompanies their steps. It is as though time flows more slowly here.
In their hands they carry golden bowls – a sign of humility and, at the same time, of dignity. The young faces speak of discipline, but also of childlike joy. Between spirituality and everyday life, a picture full of harmony emerges: people on the move, carried by tradition and inner peace.
At this moment, Sanglaburi reveals itself not as a tourist destination, but as a quiet world between past and present. The red umbrellas, the soft light and the endless bridge weave together into an almost dreamlike memory of Thailand – delicate, quiet and full of soul.
