Mountains crowned by the sun

A quiet autumn day lies over the vast heights of the Fellhorn, clear and radiant like a precious moment between the seasons. The sun stands high above the Allgäu Alps, scattering its light like liquid gold across the gentle meadows and still waters of the highlands. The sky is reflected in the small pools of the moor, and for a moment it seems as though the earth and infinity are touching.
On the horizon rises the mighty silhouette of the Großer Krottenkopf, the highest peak in the Allgäu Alps. Beside it, the rugged contours of the Kratzer stand out against the deep blue of the sky. The Hornbach range looks like an ancient stone wave, frozen in time, whilst further south the striking peaks of the Trettachspitze and the Mädelegabel characterise the central main ridge with their unmistakable shapes.
Not a sound breaks the silence; only the wind causes the autumn-yellowed grasses to tremble softly. The light wanders over rock and slopes, across alpine meadows and into the distance, lending the landscape an almost timeless dignity. In this clarity, the hustle and bustle of everyday life loses its significance. The gaze wanders over peaks and valleys, beyond Bavaria and deep into the soul of the mountains.
Thus the Allgäu speaks of both permanence and change, of the transience of autumn and the eternity of the mountains, which have watched over Europe for millennia.
