Lost in the Sea of Mist

Across the rolling hills of Tuscany, the world is still lost in slumber. A silent sea of mist fills the hollows and valleys around Volterra, as if the night had been reluctant to let go of its final veils. From this silent expanse rises a solitary tree, slender and unyielding, like a sentinel between heaven and earth.
The sunrise remains hidden, and yet its presence is palpable. The first light pierces through the layers of mist, transforming the landscape into a stage of subtle shades of grey and delicate contours. Nothing imposes itself; nothing demands attention. Everything seems to whisper.
The tree stands alone, and therein lies its strength. Surrounded by boundless silence, it speaks of perseverance and serenity. Year after year, it has witnessed the changing of the seasons, felt the wind from the hills and watched the sun rise over the fields. Now, for a moment, it seems to hover above the mist, detached from the world and yet deeply rooted in it.
The contours of the distant hill resemble an island in a silver ocean. Sky, earth and mist merge into a single, timeless landscape. In this early morning hour, Tuscany loses its colours and gains something more precious: tranquillity.
It is an image of simplicity that reminds us how much beauty lies in silence and how much strength there is in a single tree standing defiant against the sea of mist.
