Golden Wisdom in the Realm of Abstraction

In the subdued light of the art gallery, the golden Buddha sits like a silent focal point between worlds. His tunic falls in gentle folds over his shoulder, and the Bhumispara mudra – the gesture with which he calls upon the earth to bear witness to his enlightenment – seems to ground the space itself. Around him, modern forms unfold: minimalist surfaces, abstract structures, quiet experiments with colour and emptiness. Yet none of this disturbs his presence.
On the contrary: the non-traditional artworks seem to echo the statue’s timeless stillness. Their simplicity, their search for essence, their abstract gestures appear to draw on the Buddha’s moment of realisation – as if they were attempting to touch the same inner point that he found centuries ago.
The large eyes in the background, painted as a symbol of awakening, open up the space inwards. They serve as a reminder that enlightenment is not merely a historical moment, but a state that can be reflected in every viewer.
Thus, the hall becomes a place where tradition and modernity do not stand in opposition to one another, but rather enrich each other. A silent dialogue of forms, colours and inner light.
