Bangkok’s glass towers in the evening glow

Above the rooftops of Bangkok, high up on Golden Mount, time seems to stand still for a fleeting moment. As the sun sinks towards the horizon, the Thai metropolis is transformed into a sea of soft light and stark contrasts. The panorama that unfolds here is a silent poem about the rise and fall of a city that never sleeps.
In the distance, the glass giants of the skyline rise like stone exclamation marks into the twilight sky. Their facades capture the day’s final golden glow, whilst deep below in the alleyways, bustling life pulsates. A striking tower with a violet crown watches over the sea of houses like a solitary sentinel, a splash of colour in the melancholic blue of the gathering night.
It is this unique blend of traditional grandeur and modern ambition that makes Bangkok so magical. Viewed from the tranquillity of Temple Hill, the silvery lines of the skyscrapers merge with the city’s haze to form a harmonious whole. The heat of the day gives way to a gentle breeze, and as the first lights begin to twinkle in the windows of the high-rises like distant stars, one feels the irrepressible energy of Thailand. A moment full of poetry, captured between heaven and earth.
