This drag queen, with her artfully made-up face and extravagant gowns, is more than just a figure of transformation. She is a living statement, a dazzling manifestation of freedom and diversity. On Christopher Street Day in Cologne, the centrepiece of queer visibility in North Rhine-Westphalia, she strides through the streets of Europe with attitude and glamour.
Her gaze is bold, her pose self-confident - every gesture an expression of pride and resistance. The roles of transvestite and artist, activist and dreamer merge in her character. She not only wears make-up and a wig, but also carries the history of those who once lived in secret. Today, what was once hidden is celebrated - with colour, light and volume.
Between the cathedral and the Rhine, on tarmac that wrote history, their presence becomes poetry. It tells of identity, of belonging, of the beauty of being different. Cologne shines on this day - and she shines with it. A queen for a day - a person for eternity.
