A boat in the last light of day

At the edge of Siam Beach, the dive boat glides across the rippling sea like a silent thought. The day slowly sinks into the horizon, and the sun – a glowing, gentle circle – casts a golden path across the water, as if to guide the boat into the night. Ko Kut, this gentle, green island in the Gulf of Thailand, holds its breath as the light softens and the colours transform into a warm silence.
The flags on the mast barely stir, as if listening to the day’s final whisper. The sea carries the scene with a tranquillity that seems almost sacred: a mirror, a promise, a passage. In this moment, the ship seems not merely a vessel, but a guardian of the depths, a silent companion to the corals, the currents, the unseen worlds beneath the surface.
The sky, lightly veiled by the haze of the tropical evening, merges with the water into a single, vast breath. And as the sun sinks below the horizon, a feeling lingers that cannot be held onto – a breath of freedom, a hint of wanderlust, a quiet glow that continues to smoulder in the heart.
