A bird between prayers

Amidst the delicate threads of the sky, the prayer flags dance like the colourful breaths of an ancient, silent hope. Blue, red, yellow, green and white – each colour carries its own whisper, its own prayer, which dissolves in the wind and drifts over the rooftops of Kathmandu. The sun falls softly upon the thin fabric, as if wishing to warm the words before they set off on their journey.
A small bird has alighted on the line, as if it too were a messenger between heaven and earth. Its body is little more than a shadow in the light, yet its presence lends the scene a delicate, living tranquillity. It seems to be listening, as if it could understand the prayers hidden within the fabrics – pleas for peace, for protection, for a smooth path ahead.
Above him, the clear Nepalese sky stretches out, vast and unshakeable. And for a moment, the bird, the flags and the wind merge into a single silent song that speaks of connection. A song that need not be spoken, for it continues to resonate in the silence.
