Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘on Kok Ngai’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

The stormy sea laps the shore of Koh Ngai, where a lone longtail boat is anchored in the rough surf. Its slender hull, scarred by countless trips across the turquoise waters, defies the unruly waves breaking on the shore. The colourful fabric bows attached to its bow dance in the furious wind as if to counter the storm with their own anthem. Every movement of these bows tells of tradition and faith, of blessings for protection and a safe return home.
Dramatic clouds tower over the sea, their dark grey swallowing up the light, broken only by isolated, silvery cracks. The sky seems restless, almost alive, as if it were breathing in harmony with the sea. The rumbling sound of the waves and the whistling of the wind fill the air, and yet there is a strange stillness - the stillness of a moment that is greater than man himself.
The boat, a symbol of human craftsmanship, stands in stark contrast to the untamed forces of nature. Yet in this interplay, a story is told - of harmony and resistance, of adventure and return, of the ancient connection between man, sea and sky.
