The early snow in the Kleinwalsertal

A hint of early winter hangs over the Walmendinger Horn, 1,990 m, as if the mountain itself had exhaled its first, tentative breath of the cold season. Ahead of you rises the Hohe Ifen, 2,230 m, with its striking table-top shape, blanketed by the first snow of autumn as if by a silent, white mystery. The rocks seem older than time itself; the patches of snow like symbols of a language that only the mountains understand.
In the Kleinwalsertal, nestled between the walls of the Allgäu Alps, the world seems to fall into a gentle silence for a moment. The light is clear, almost crystalline, and settles over the peaks like a blessing. Clouds drift slowly, as if they wish to touch the mountains, and the wind carries the scent of stone, cold and a hint of change.
Here, at this transition between summer and winter, a space opens up in which the visible and the invisible merge. The landscape appears like a gateway – not only to heights and valleys, but to something within, a quiet place where thoughts become lighter and the soul expands. It is a panorama that does not merely reveal, but calls out.
