About ‘Silent observer’ by Studio Mirabelle

Sometimes it is precisely a bird that does not immediately steal everyone’s heart that deserves a moment of undivided attention. In this work, the magpie takes centre stage: an intelligent and curious creature that is often seen, but rarely truly observed.

A nature photograph of my own served as the starting point for this composition. By combining this with painterly textures, botanical elements and soft colour transitions, an image emerged in which reality and imagination converge. The fresh shades of green, warm earth tones and subtle accents of light lend the work a tranquil, almost dreamlike atmosphere.

Here, the magpie reveals a different side to itself. Not as a boisterous figure, but as a quiet observer at one with its surroundings. Its glossy plumage, powerful stance and sharp gaze make it a striking focal point without disrupting the serenity of the whole.

This artwork invites you to look a little longer and discover beauty in a bird that is often underestimated. A contemporary nature composition in which tranquillity, character and the richness of everyday life come together.
