Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.

Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Arc of light over the Chao Phraya’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

The Rama VIII Bridge rises above the Mae Nam Chao Praya like a glowing thread, stretched between sky and water. Its single pylon stands there like a silent sentinel, and the golden cables trace lines across the night, as if Bangkok itself were drawing a constellation across the river. Beneath it, the water glides dark and calm, carrying the reflections of the lights, the city’s shimmer, and the distant pulsing of the boats as they glide across the surface like wandering sparks.
The bridge seems not merely built, but composed – a poem of steel, light and tension. In the warm evening air, the scent of the river mingles with the breath of the metropolis, and for a moment everything seems connected: the vibrant city, the vast sky, the silent power of the Chao Phraya. The Rama VIII Bridge spans it all like a verse that holds the night together, a luminous arch that transforms Bangkok’s restlessness into a single, tranquil line.
A place where movement and stillness meet – and the city rests for a moment in its own light.
