About "tulip oneliner"

by Joan Engels

About the artwork

One Line Art is a creative global trend. It is the art of creating complex shapes on paper with just one continuous, flowing line. This trend is seemingly minimalist but it is also less is more and requires a keen graphic eye with a refined sense of reduction
The tulip has traditionally symbolised life and fertility. Giving a tulip is also a downright declaration of love.
Red tulips stand for eternal love, yellow tulips for appreciation and sympathy. White tulips stand for forgiveness, pink for motherly love and a variegated bunch for pure beauty.
This sunflower has a subtle tessellation with a spatial effect.
The calm colours and graphic black-and-white effect make the artwork a beautiful eye-catcher in most interiors.
The background is not pure white but off-white with various natural shades of pink

Almost all my works I first start manually with a sketch then I painted the background
Over this, I painted over the sketched line drawing again with deep black clean lines to
achieve this graphic effect.

And then the images are digitally post-processed for reproduction at Werk aan de muur

Art should surprise, inspire and for me, being allowed to make art is not work but oxygen why I live.

With creative greetings Joan
