The Zaanse Schans photographed in the blue hour before sunrise.
The blue hour is a natural phenomenon seen in the hour before sunrise and in the hour after sunset. It forms the transition from light to dark or from dark to light. During the blue hour, the sky turns beautifully blue. Together with yellow/orange street lights, you often have a beautiful play of colours in your photos. By photographing in the blue hour, you keep the viewer's attention longer. It gives your photos that little bit extra. It is magical!
