On the shores of Lake Banyoles in Catalonia, Spain, there is a special tranquillity. Here, water, air and light come together in a balance that feels almost timeless. In the foreground, countless water lilies float, their rounded leaves and soft blossoms forming a natural pattern across the clear water. In the distance, the Romanesque church of Sant Andreu de Porqueres is visible - a landmark that gives the landscape its character.
Lake Banyoles is surrounded by hills and forests, which take on a green glow in the soft sunlight. The water constantly changes colour: from cool blue to warm turquoise, depending on the light and wind.
