About the artwork

A close up watercolor portrait of a Viking warrior woman caught mid turn. Steel plates and leather straps catch thin highlights while a fur mantle softens the edge of the silhouette. Scarlet and indigo washes sweep behind her like motion trails and controlled drips fall in the negative space so the gaze and jawline remain the clear focal points. Paper grain shows through translucent layers and small reserves of white mark rivets and the lip of the gauntlet.

This piece grew from studies about courage patience and the second before impact. I mapped the big armor shapes wet on wet then returned with glazing and dry brush to suggest metal sheen and hair texture. Warpaint sits across the cheekbones in broken strokes that feel lived in rather than decorative. The balance between fluid color and precise line keeps the image alert and grounded.

The atmosphere is powerful but composed, making it a striking focal work for contemporary interiors studios and training spaces. The cool steel tones pair well with concrete brushed metal and raw wood while warm reds carry energy without overwhelming the room.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
