Monday 2 June had a recording day by TV Noordholland for the programme Zomertour. This year they will walk the North-Holland path and each episode they will take a local photographer with them. In the end, there will be an exhibition of the best 3 photos's of each photographer who participated, at the Huis van Hilde in Castricum. The exhibition is free to visit from 11 July - 1 September.
We had beautiful Dutch skies, which gave a new perspective on the landscape, which I normally photograph at sunrise or sunset, but these are also pictures like paintings.
I had expressly brought 1 camara and only 1 lens , I had already planned to take pictures of the wide open landscape, partly because of the beautiful skies. At first I had 3 lenses in the bag, but when I left home and saw these skies I only took the 15-30mm. Less is more.

Victor was a veteran of the Roman army. One evening in the year 286, he seeks shelter for the night. He knocks on the door of a division of the imperial army. The camp is celebrating because a battle had been won. The warriors tell Victor that prior to the battle they had held an offering ceremony to placate the gods. However, a group of Christian soldiers refused to take part in that pagan sacrifice ceremony. These men were killed. Then Victor announced that he too was a Christian and that he envied the others for dying for their faith. Those words are enough for the soldiers to kill Victor too. Thus he dies a torturous death
