About ‘Travel photography. Old, grey doors with shadow of street lamp’ by Danielle Roeleveld

Travel photography. Old, grey double doors shadowed by a street lamp in Venice, Italy. The door has lots of ironwork in horizontal and vertical lines, and a few circles and rings. The door is painted thick grey, with paint drops still visible here and there. Across the door is the graceful shadow of a street lamp.

I photograph my perceptions from inner silence, without judgment, thoughts or comparisons, so straight from my heart. With my camera I capture qualities of everyday beauty. That means that I don't enhance my images, to me reality is sparkling enough as I perceived it. Other terms of this kind of photography is: contemplative, Zen, Miksang or mindfulness photography. What usually catches my eye are reflections, colour, pattern and texture.
