About the artwork

The close-up shows the imposing head of an African hippopotamus emerging majestically from the typically brown, turbulent river water. The coarse, thick skin of the hippopotamus head looks like robust armour and is covered in a mixture of mud and water, giving the animal a natural camouflage.

The eyes of the hippopotamus are alert and testify to intelligence and attentiveness. The large, widely spaced nostrils are characteristic and allow the animal to breathe even under water, while only the upper part of the head appears above the water surface. The ears are shaped like two sharp flaps and listen to the sounds of the environment.

The strong, tusk-like canines protrude menacingly from the powerful mouth and the broad snout gives the hippopotamus an imposing appearance. Water pearls glisten on the robust skin, which catches the light and gives the animal a shiny, almost majestic lustre.

The churning, brown river water forms a fascinating contrast to the calm that lies on the hippo's face. The scene conveys the grace and ferocity of this impressive creature, which appears to be both floating in the water and attentively observing its surroundings.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
