During the deer rut, I was face to face with this red deer in the Veluwe during the day. In post-processing, I reduced this image to black and white and low-key to create this beautiful portrait of this king. This really brought out his form: the antlers as a crown, his gaze full of focus, the fur in bright contrast, ready to impress his rivals and impress the females.
